Myanmar Military Airstrike Kills Over 20 , Including Children

A deadly airstrike by Myanmar’s military in a village in the Mandalay Region has killed more than 20 people, including local civilians and members of the township people defense forces of National Unity Government , according to initial investigations. 

The attack, which took place in the morning, left behind widespread devastation, with reports confirming that among the deceased were two young children, one just five months old and another four years old. 

 Eyewitnesses described the harrowing aftermath, with homes destroyed and rescue efforts hindered by ongoing military operations in the area. The strike is part of the escalating conflict between the Myanmar military and resistance groups, as the country continues to grapple with violence following the 2021 military coup. 

 As tensions rise, civilians remain caught in the crossfire, with fears of further attacks looming. The incident adds to the growing list of military actions that have resulted in mass casualties across Myanmar in recent years. Myanmar’s military has not yet issued an official statement regarding the airstrike.
